Melvin L. Bedrick retired from Cravath’s Corporate Department in 2001. Mr. Bedrick had a general corporate and securities practice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Bedrick was born in New York, New York. He received a B.A. from Yale University in 1953, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and an LL.B. from Yale Law School in 1956, where he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal. Following graduation, Mr. Bedrick served as a law clerk to Hon. Archie O. Dawson of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Bedrick joined Cravath in 1957 and became a partner in 1965.
