Kris F. Heinzelman retired from Cravath’s Corporate Department in December 2016. He was the Corporate Hiring Partner from 1987 to 1989, the Corporate Managing Partner from 1992 to 1997 and the Head of the Corporate Department from 2002 to 2008. More recently, he served as the Chair of our Securities Practice.
Mr. Heinzelman’s practice consisted primarily of domestic and international corporate finance transactions, including public and private offerings of debt and equity securities.
Mr. Heinzelman was born in Monroe, Wisconsin. He received an A.B. magna cum laude and an M.A. from Brown University in 1973, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1976.
Mr. Heinzelman joined Cravath in 1976 and became a partner in 1983.
