David Mercado retired from Cravath’s Corporate Department in 2021. As a partner, Mr. Mercado focused his diverse practice on mergers and acquisitions and financings in both Latin America and Europe. 

Mr. Mercado was born in Houston, Texas. He received an A.B. from Columbia College in 1981, a J.D. from Yale Law School in 1984 and a M.A. from King’s College London in 2021. 

Mr. Mercado joined Cravath in 1984 and was elected a partner in 1991.
