Cravath’s New York Office Moves to Two Manhattan West
January 29, 2014
On January 22, 2014, Cravath litigation partner Rory O. Millson presented the International Arbitration Club of New York’s (IACNY’s) annual Smit-Lowenfeld Prize for the best article in the field of international arbitration to Gary Born of Wilmer Hale. Rory, a member of the IACNY whose practice includes a wide breadth of international arbitration, serves as chair of the selection committee for the award.
The prize was awarded to Mr. Born for his article entitled “A New Generation of International Adjudication,” which appeared in the January 2012 issue of the Duke Law Journal. “Gary’s extensive experience in international arbitration is evident in this well-argued, forward-looking article,” Mr. Millson said upon announcing the selection. “We are pleased to present the award to such an esteemed member of the arbitration community.”
The Smit-Lowenfeld Prize, developed by the IACNY, honors the late professor Hans Smit of Columbia Law School and Andreas Lowenfeld, the Rubin Professor Emeritus at the New York University School of Law, for their distinguished careers in the field of international arbitration, both as scholars and as arbitrators.
