John White Moderates and Nick Dorsey Speaks at PLI’s 53rd Annual Institute on Securities Regulation

On November 4, 2021, Cravath partners John W. White and Nicholas A. Dorsey participated in the 53rd Annual “Institute on Securities Regulation,” which was hosted by the Practising Law Institute in New York City from November 3‑5, 2021. John moderated a panel entitled “Accounting and Auditing Developments,” which analyzed SEC comment letter hot topics, internal controls surrounding ESG metrics and related Board responsibilities, disclosure of performance metrics and non‑GAAP measures, accounting for cryptocurrency investments, and priorities at the PCAOB and FASB. Nick spoke on a panel entitled “Ethical Issues in Transactional Settings,” which discussed managing risks in SPAC transactions, privilege and conflicts management in transactional and post‑closing dispute scenarios, engagement letters and lawyers as witness.
