John White and Michael Arnold Speak at The American College of Governance Counsel’s 2023 ESG Master Class Program

On March 9, 2023, Cravath partners John W. White and Michael L. Arnold participated in a master class program entitled “Advising a Board on ESG: From Climate to Human Capital,” which was hosted by The American College of Governance Counsel in Chicago, IL. The interactive program reviewed challenging governance issues encountered in advising boards of directors on ESG matters, including a board’s role in ESG disclosures and data management practices, ESG activism, the relationship between fiduciary duties and ESG and effective structures and processes for board oversight of ESG.
