Cravath’s New York Office Moves to Two Manhattan West

Cravath partners John W. White and Alyssa K. Caples participated in the twentieth annual “Institute on Securities Regulation in Europe: Practical Implications of U.S. Law on EU Practice,” a program presented virtually by the Practising Law Institute from April 21‑23, 2021.
John was the panel leader for a panel entitled “Accounting and Auditing Developments for 2021,” which discussed the accounting and auditing challenges created by the COVID‑19 pandemic as well as the response of the SEC and of the IFRS Foundation’s Trustees to sustainability disclosure and reporting, including plans for the possible creation by the IFRS Trustees of an International Sustainability Reporting Standards Board.
Alyssa spoke on a panel entitled “Capital Markets Developments – Practical Deal Implications in the Covid/Post‑Covid Era,” which discussed the impact of the COVID‑19 pandemic on dealmaking and market practices, corporate governance, the interest rate environment in the United Kingdom, special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) and equity markets regulation and emerging ESG issues.
