Cravath partner Faiza J. Saeed spoke at the annual Dealbook D.C. Strategy Forum, an event hosted virtually by The New York Times from December 2-3, 2020. Faiza participated in the task force discussion on “U.S.-China Dealmaking,” which analyzed what the lasting impact of this presidential administration’s policies may be on relations between the United States and China, including on national security, general trade policy and reviews conducted by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. The task force also discussed areas in which the incoming administration may take a different approach and the impact that may have on future deals.
Recounting the discussion takeaways, The New York Times published on December 18, 2020 the article “How to Reset the Relationship Between the U.S. and China,” which described the group’s mandate to gather to “debate the prospects for cooperation and competition between the world’s most powerful economies.”
