Cravath’s New York Office Moves to Two Manhattan West
On March 14, 2024, Cravath hosted its 2024 Web3 Regulatory Forum at its offices in New York. The event brought together lawyers from the Firm, market participants, executives, investors and others for presentations by practitioners, current and former regulators, and interactive roundtables examining the most significant regulatory developments in the digital assets and Web3 space.
Programming included a fireside chat with Commissioner Caroline D. Pham of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission as well as roundtable discussions. The roundtables were moderated by partners Scott Bennett, Elad Roisman, David J. Kappos, Sasha Rosenthal‑Larrea, Benjamin Gruenstein, Evan Norris, and Ryan J. Patrone. The roundtable sessions examined topics related to the Howey test and what constitutes a security; AML and sanctions compliance; intellectual property, cybersecurity and decentralization; and the lifecycle of a digital asset startup and related capital raising issues. There was also a regulatory update discussion with Elad, Jelena McWilliams and Jeffrey T. Dinwoodie.
