Cravath’s New York Office Moves to Two Manhattan West

Cravath partners Gary A. Bornstein and Kevin J. Orsini were named to Crain’s New York Business’s list of “Notable Litigators and Trial Attorneys,” published on March 24, 2025. The list honors “a talented cohort” of litigators and trial attorneys who are “shaping precedent and advocating for their clients across industries and issues.”
Crain’s recognized Gary’s representation of Epic Games in its antitrust trial victory against Google, as well as his representation of Qualcomm in an array of industry defining global disputes concerning Qualcomm’s patent licensing and modem chipset businesses.
Crain’s noted Kevin’s representation of Robinhood in the sprawling “Meme Stock” litigation and his representation of PG&E in litigation related to its response to California wildfires—“one of the largest and most complex sets of mass tort litigation”. His feature also mentioned his selection as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

On December 11, 2023, a jury unanimously ruled in favor of Cravath client Epic Games (“Epic”) on all counts in its closely watched antitrust case against Google in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, determining—after a multiweek trial—that Google has engaged in anticompetitive behavior in the distribution of mobile apps and in the handling of in‑app payments.

On September 26, 2023, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted summary judgment in favor of Cravath client Qualcomm Incorporated in a putative class action alleging violations of antitrust laws. Originally brought in 2017 on behalf of an alleged nationwide class of mobile device purchaser plaintiffs, the multi-district litigation consolidated numerous complaints against Qualcomm and followed a related Federal Trade Commission action against the company (FTC v. Qualcomm), which also resulted in a complete judgment for Qualcomm on appeal in 2020.

On November 13, 2023, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida denied plaintiffs’ motion to certify a class asserting market manipulation claims under the federal securities laws against Cravath clients Robinhood Markets, Inc., Robinhood Financial LLC and Robinhood Securities, LLC (together, “Robinhood”).
