Having worked with London-based institutions since the 19th century, the Firm opens an office in the city in 1973. The Firm’s presence in England, which started with Richard Blatchford’s relationship with the Bank of England, was strengthened during World War I when Paul Cravath moved to London to serve as advisory counsel to the U.S. representative on the Inter-Allied Council on War Purchases and Finance. Today, Cravath’s London office handles a broad array of corporate transactions.
