Rotations of One Litigation Associate
The principal cases of a current seventh-year associate illustrate a typical rotation in the Litigation Department. During her time at the Firm, this associate appeared in court numerous times, was the principal author of many briefs and has taken both depositions and trial testimony.
First Rotation
- Hostile takeover litigation - defending client against claim that its board breached its fiduciary duties and defending another client against an attempt by private litigants to block an acquisition for antitrust reasons
Second Rotation
- International arbitration involving patent infringement and breach of contract claims
Third Rotation
- Lead associate in a bankruptcy proceeding in which the company's creditors sued our client for fraud
Fourth Rotation
- Lead lawyer handling the defense of a major antitrust investigation by the Department of Justice
